Call for a 2-months postdoctoral position in computational material science

Project
A postdoctoral position is available in the research group Functional Materials (FM) at the Laboratory for Physico-Chemistry of the Atmosphere (LPCA) in the Universite du Littoral-Cote d'Opale (ULCO) à Dunkirk, France. The research will be focused towards modeling and analysis of molecular structure of glasses using DFT/MD and RMC simulations.
Candidates with Ph.D. in Physics/Computational mathematics/Chemistry/Materials Science and research background may apply. Programming skills in UNIX shell/C/C++/Fortran and in intensive cluster calculations are also appreciated.
Expectations from a postdoctoral researcher:
- Perform research on the assigned topics in collaboration with colleagues.
- Write progress reports, write and publish research articles in international journals.
- Present the work in conferences/meetings.
- Install, set-up and manage numerical models and tools.
This project takes place in the framework of the regional program CLIMIBIO
Qualifications
The candidate should have a PhD in mathematics or in physics. He/she should have expertise in one or more of the followings fields: computational physics, theoretical physics, numerical modelling. Skills in computer programming (Unix shell, C/C++, Fortran, Matlab or equivalent) are also appreciated.
